HP Probook Installer Clover Edition

I think you're imagining things. Certainly if anything had changed vis-a-vis audio, it would be in the changelog.

Thanks RehabMan. I'll stick with 15.6 then, but just in case how can a future PBI update be made

For the memory you can see I have KHX1600xxxxxxx model. What could be the fix since yours works well in clover.

Thanks a lot

There will always be future updates for new OS X versions, new kexts, etc.

My laptop is different than yours. According to the service manual, my laptop supports 1600.

Hi RehabMan,

I didn"t specify well. I meant practically how do you update. Delete anything before installing the new one?

Thank you

You just run the ProBook Installer with the options you'd like to update.

As a test, I installed my 1600Mhz memory from my 4540s into my 4530s. I can confirm Clover detects it as running at 1333Mhz. Also CPU-Z on Windows 10 TP confirms 1333Mhz.

My conclusion: The 4530s does not support 1600Mhz memory (as per service manual) and runs it as 1333Mhz instead. Clover is detecting the correct frequency. Chameleon (Chimera?) is wrong.

Final note: You can force whatever value you'd like via config.plist, but that won't make it true. See here: http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/SMBIOS#Memory

Thanks RehabMan,

There's something with those memory certifications though. What do you make of this articles?
