However, I wanted to know if from 10.8 to 10.9 or 10.9 to 10.10 these files suffered modifications (Actually, I'm trying to decide here if I should sell this laptop and go for a compatible one or simply wait for next release which is not too far; that's why I ask these dumb questions).

Almost every update of OS X includes updates to the graphics kexts.

I think it is unlikely Apple will change the DVMT-prealloc requirement. Apple only makes changes as required for their own products.
