HP elitebook 2170p with Mavericks

1. You have to leave some time for OS X after installation. You can use activity monitor to see which process consumes most.
2. Try an EC reset.
3. See here:

Think 2170p is similar to 2570p: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook-mavericks/112925-hp-elitebook-2570p-success-8.html#post705300

EDIT: The only difference I found is I drop all SSDT tables in new config, while only dropping CPU SSDT tables in my old config. Interesting, because it works in my laptop.

Btw, because the problem is in my config.plist, so you can try latest Clover. It won't make any difference at all.

for the high temps, maybe is the Gpu

also in the point 14
"14. (Optional) Restore vanilla AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, AppleRTC.kext (they're backed up in desktop) by using Kext Wizard."
just replace "AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext"

About the clover bootloader, it's really
necessary the new one? i mean, the 2298 version it's working

thanks for all, tomorrow i'll update the first page

Not necessary, especially if you have everything working :). I just need PStates info to confirm CPU PM is working now

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

System: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.
