You can remove only the second build signature, but not the primary one (you're stuck with editing it).

I try not to use them, and just enter normal signatures (except for the "main build" which I cannot remove). This portion of the website is just plain buggy.

What did you do differently between laptop 1 and laptop 2?

For all practical purposes, they are identical.

ummm nothing
even i used the same usb disk, the same HPprobook installer

i'm thinking it's something about with the procesor, i5-3427u

Post your SSDT.

Also note in one case you'll be using MacBookPro but the other MacBookAir... big difference.

MacBookAir appears to be much more picky about CPU and SSDT, which is the reason often we end up using -xcpm (and KernelPm patch).

And how I do that ?

1. You have to leave some time for OS X after installation. You can use activity monitor to see which process consumes most.
2. Try an EC reset.
3. See here:

I think 2170p is similar to 2570p: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook-mavericks/112925-hp-elitebook-2570p-success-8.html#post705300

EDIT: The only difference I found is I drop all SSDT tables in new config, while only dropping CPU SSDT tables in my old config. Interesting, because it works in my laptop.
Btw, because the problem is in my config.plist, so you can try latest Clover. It won't make any difference at all.

EDIT: Can you install DPCI Manager, run Pstates and post your Pstates log here? I thought Ultrabook CPU can't be used with Macbook Pro 9,2 SMBIOS?

Did you eventually find a complete install solution for the 2170p ?

Pete
