How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

I also am using the the 106 web drivers which I believe is working as it should. Only thing I'm not happy with is when using voltage shift to verify my MSR 0xE2 being unlocked, I get a return of 0x402. I assume I'm not unlocked. And I've flashed the bios twice.

Could you please try with the voltageshift method?

This is what I get on my patched 1102:

Code:
 ~/D/voltageshift> ./voltageshift read 0xe2
RDMSR e2 returns value 0x7e000003

Unlocked_MR2_Thireus_1102_R6E_PatchedBIOS.png

Notice that bit 15 isn't set. And also, if MSR 0xE2 isn't locked you shouldn't be able to boot without "xcpm_core_scope_msrs © Pike R. Alpha" Clover KernelToPatch assuming you've already made sure to disable it...

Also, Clover's bdmesg displays the following:

Code:
0:107 0:000 MSR 0xE2 before patch 00000402
0:107 0:000 MSR 0xCE 00070C2C_F3011A00
0:107 0:000 MSR 0x1B0 00000000

That is super weird. From what I tested a few months back was that all 38inch monitors with that resolution had that issue. Does that panel have the same specs?

I was thinking something could be done in clover but never got around to it. Or if the Acer panel is working then making a modified EDID.
I currently am running a modified EDID with the default refresh rate 75hz.

Good luck!! Let me know when you find a solution :)

Yes, the Acer and Dell too (but dell doesn't have Nightshift working)
The Acer have it definitive working. Just need the EDID from somewhere.
The Acer have our LG Panel built in, (the Dell one too)
All 37,5 Inch 3840x1600 Panels come from LG...

My goal is a clover did patch, but however, I have it working with Display Overrides.

Download & Unzip the Attached File and place it into:
/System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-1e6d/

And for Display Brightness, use that small app with the Clover Patch (if you don't have an apple keyboard) to replace F1 and F2.
It works on my 38UC99... And its absolutely perfect. (Just the brightness Range of the monitor itself is not that big)
-> but its perfect, I love that small app!
--> @bensge have done great work!

PS, i forgot, the the Attached Display Override Profile, is not possible to change to 75hz, 60 is the only option.
--> And after you have added the file, you need reboot, and change your resolution again (Mac size etc...)

If we somehow can get an edit of that Acer screen, that your be Amazing...
Cheers :)

Nightshift is working great. F1/F2 display brightness only works with Apple keyboard but does not work with e.g. Logitech K810/811. To which small app with the Clover Patch to replace F1 and F2 for non Apple keyboards are you referring to?

I just clicked on your link above and it works flawless.. ;)

Still not working for me:

What can I do?

can you download

Code:
curl https://swdist.apple.com/content/downloads/51/44/091-52052/dsqmhvw2nghj6dh9mtqwvx7gp4ykc7k5lb/091-52052.English.dist -o 091-52052.English.dist

and create the installer package with the command below as indicated in my guide for the case that you are creating the installer on a device different from iMacPro?

Code:
cd ..
productbuild --distribution ./091-33271/091-52052.English.dist --package-path ./091-33271/ installer.pkg

Looking at the list of available files here - https://swscan.apple.com/content/ca...ion-snowleopard-leopard.merged-1.sucatalog.gz

It looks like this key might be the version now available - frfttxz116hdm02ajg89z3cubtiv64r39s? I can't find the key you listed as previously present (a0p216ukywyxia77i36ujq0bq91ghcyyaf)?

I can't build using your instructions as the content of the files downloaded is just the 404 error text not the actual file content.

and why all links work on my machine? Just checked the download of all links and all links are up and working... Are you sure your internet connection is working at all?
