Hi,
I spent hours on internet searching how to get 4K at 60hz on my Asus PB287Q. So I decided to write this thread hoping someone helps me to fix the issue.
Let me explain my scenario.
I build an Hackintosh with the OS X 10.11.5. Motherboard GBT Z97M-D3H, CPU i3 and 8GB RAM. I recently installed an ASUS NVidia GTX 970 4G ram for handling the 4K res.
The monitor supports 4K res at 60Hz via Display Port only. It has a DP 1.2
When I connected the monitor via DP, OSX sets the monitor to the highest resolution 3840 × 2160, at 30Hz. In the Monitor preferences there is not an option for 60Hz or the possibility to manage the resolution for "retina modes" like I got on my MacBook Pro Retina.
I hope you can help me with this.
Anyway thank you in advance.
M.
