Hi! I wanted to make a Hackintosh based on Asus Maximus Extreme VI. But I saw you say that Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC better for Hackintosh. Could you say that does not work well on an Extreme and How is it expressed, embedded audio I do not need, I have a usb Sound Card. Really need your advice, I want extreme because there are many interesting things for windows, I will use it too in this computer.

I'm sorry if my English is very bad.
With best regards, Ivanov Yuriy.

Well with xe board bluetooth, wifi, oc panel features doesn't work , so we can say all features on xtreme board witch are working on windows doesn't work on osx
Booting with hdd also only with tricks guys posted before works(not tested by me)

Hi Hiwa

I am trying to download the same files you used to install mountai lion

and I have the same Board and Cpu but my Gpu is gtx 780

Do you recommend me to try to install mac ? I mean is it worth it or will be too unstable ?

Hi everyone,

I got my Maximum VI formula working with this guide (and a few tweaks). Thanks Hiwa! :D

I am having issues with the front audio-jack not working (it is recognised, but does not produce sound) and preview keeps on crashing. Has anyone had these issues? Does anyone know of any possible workarounds?

I have opened new threads here:

then I installed multibeast (chimera , sounds and all needed drivers )

the problem is I cant boot into os x with out Unibeast USB drive , I read on the internet its a GPT cant boot in Asus z87 motherboards

so plz tell me how do you boot your mac

thank you in advance

Hi Mr E4GLE,

In my case I had to have all my partitions (mac/linux/w7) created as a MBR. You should be able to follow a mix of the below guides to do this:

Hiwas build guide. Thanks Hiwa!

http://jonsview.com/fixing-mbr-tables-on-imac-or-mbp-triple-boot-setups

Essentially you will have to create all your partitions (as MBR partitions) before you start installing Operating systems. Once you have installed Mac (on an MBR partition) you install windows and/or linux. Once you have installed your secondary or third OS you will need to modify the active MBR boot order. This can either be done through windows (as suggested in the lifehacker guide), or if that does not work by booting from the mac install CD and using Fdisk (from the terminal).

Not guaranteeing that it will work for you, but it did the job for me (maximum VI formula 4770k).

Good luck!

Hey,

I don't know if you are still active on tonymac, but I had a question for you. I saw that you had the same monitor that I have, the ASUS MX279H or something like that. Can you tell me what you used for your settings and if you had any luck fixing the blurred text?

Thanks!
