Are you getting full QE/CI in Intel HD 4000?
Nope, system reports it as Intel HD 4000 7mb when I boot off USB. Its very glitchy, but I am getting 1920 x 1080.

When I boot from UEFI, though, I am stuck in 1024x768 and the system reports the GPU as Intel HD 4000 3mb.

So I am currently still booting off the USB.

Do you think this card will work with High Sierra? It is a pcie x4 card.... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B2300O4/?tag=tonymacx86com-20

I have tried several dozen combinations of device id, imei and platform id and I just can't get the intel hd 4000 to work. I can't really get into buying a new MB, CPU, etc right now, I have a baby and stuff... I work from home as a freelance developer. My older MacBook Pro died, I took it in for repair, the repair didn't work and additional work was not worth it for the age of the machine. I built this hackintosh out of spare parts while the MacBook was out for repair to get me through and its been my main computer for a few weeks now.

The hackintosh desktop is usable without full acceleration but there are some graphical glitches with certain apps (gitkraken, etc) which are kind of a PITA. If this card will work, then it will solve my problem....

thanks for all your help, you've been a lifesaver!

  • I believe it is innately supported by Mac.
  • I have installed it in my system with GA-B85M-DS3H+Intel i3-4160 3.60GHz
  • It did NOT require any NVIDIA Webdrivers for full QE/CI
  • During install using USB Installer, type the boot flag nv_disable=1.
  • After install it needs nvda_drv=1 in config.plist Boot>
  • See uploaded images of screens capture of
    • config.plist selections affecting graphics
      • Boot>Args:

      • Graphics.
    • Clover Boot Manager screen
      • Boot Args:

  • Hope this helps
