APP Store Error
Whenever I try to install an app through the app store, i get this error:

Screen_Shot_2017_10_29_at_12_01_43_AM.png

I've tried to install NullEthernet.kext, but it doesn't seem to work at all. I think that's because my laptop doesn't have an ethernet port. I'm also using USB Wifi (D-Link DWA-131). I've also tried removing all networks in System Preferences and restarting but that doesn't seem to work either.

Brightness Slider Error (Fixed w/ Post #2)
For the brightness, I've got it working with IntelBacklight.kext and the slider shows up, but when I (try to) use the slider, the brightness of the screen doesn't change. I really don't know anything about what to do about this.

for brightness, you need to have a patch in your config.plist:

Your kextcache output shows NullEthernet.kext is not installed.

Yeah, since it didn't seem to be doing anything I removed it

No chance of App Store working without built-in Ethernet or WiFi at en0.
Read NullEthernet README for correct installation/configuration procedures.

I did specifically follow the ReadME and it still did not do anything. Should I add it back and post new files or is there no chance because my laptop doesn't have built in ethernet port?

It will work with correct installation and configuration of NullEthernet.kext.
Follow the instructions in the README. Carefully.
