hello.
First of all, sorry for my poor english.

i'm using Acer v3-371-53zb in South Korea.

cpu : broadwell core i5-5200U
ram : 16GB (8gb x 2)
gpu : HD 5500, (1920x1080 FHD)

The problem is the 'garbled screen'.

i followed the link - http://www.firewolf.science/2015/04/guide-intel-hd-graphics-5500-on-os-x-yosemite-10-10-3/
and i did change my 'DVMT pre-allocated memory size'. i can see the dedicated video memory = 64MB in windows 8.

my clover configuration is InjectIntel = True and ig-platform-id=0x16160002, so i did installation successfully!!

but, after installation, i saw the 'garbled screen'. so i tried to connect my external screen, then i changed display setting in OSX setting.

after changing my display resolution, i can see 'non-garbled screen'. it is working QE/CI. but brightness is slightly dark..

after all, i can't see normal screen without external screen...T.T

i saw the tip in many threads, but my InsydeH20 bios hasn't LEGACY SUPPORT option.

only i can select UEFI boot or Legacy boot. what can i do?? set EDID? another patch? i'm not using dsdt.aml.

please help me. i attached my CLOVER folder and dsdt.aml from AIDA64(non-edit)

Try enabling CSM in BIOS.

i tried to change CSM setting. but my bios , insydeH2O v1.15 doesn't have this option.

so i tried to unlock my bios to seek csm option.. this is very difficult..

another help plz..

Thanks Rehabman, i got non-garbled screen!!

My bios hasn't CSM option. so i selected Legacy boot(is equall to CSM??).

I re-install OSX to MBR type, then, set DVMT pre-allocated memory to 192MB.

so, I successfully see 'non-garbled screen'!!

but, the brightness is very dark.. i want to change brightnesss level.!

Yes... With BIOSes without CSM option, legacy boot enabled often enables CSM for UEFI.

I re-install OSX to MBR type, then, set DVMT pre-allocated memory to 192MB.

The OS X installer does not support installing to MBR.

so, I successfully see 'non-garbled screen'!!

but, the brightness is very dark.. i want to change brightnesss level.!

Thanks for your help.

i did MBR patch on my OSX usb. so i can see normal screen.

but, My screen gives me random Freeze. I read all topic about HD5500.

so i tried to change DVMT originally or variety size, and change fakesmc continually.

but i can't solve Freeze issue. i need help..

oh.. i didn't know this rule.. i'm sorry...

then, i will retry installation by using GUID method.

(if i select legacy mode, my notebook can't recognize UEFI partition... so i installed mbr method. sorry..)

(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

System: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.
