Hello,

could you please give me information about a HD Caddy that fits into the Probook 4530s
for a secondary HD? Is there a HP Part-No.?

Another question:
Can I use the SSD Crucial CT128M4 as a replacement for the original harddisk?
Is it Mac OS X compatible?

Thank you for your help.

I found this forum for 4530s/4430s owners somewhere through google. On one of the pages in that forum there will be a link on where to get it. I replaced the stock hard drive with the previous model of the SSD you are talking about and things work just fine. I have the C300 256GB. I use the stock 320GB HDD in the hard drive caddy. Things work just fine.

well i just got my caddy, paid $50 for it, since i already paid for it.
i might as well keep it. but it sure ain't worth paying this much.
the quality is very cheap! some screws fell right off before i unscrew anything.

*liposuction i hope you gets yours that caddy looks tight.
$14 is a reasonable price to pay, if i've known earlier i would get it from there..
dont forget to change your boot priority in bios setting.

edit: here they are it works i dont care for dvd drive so it's staying in for as long as it lives.
since i forgot to get super glue for weeks i just use silicone glue. if it comes off i'll use proper glue.

got me interested guys!
I'm looking at 2 items £16 in the uk or £6.50 +£2 postage from China.
The one from china is listed as for a macbook pro but they're universal right???

And maybe 1 day I can warrant spending approx £1 per gb on an ssd but today I can't.
My sister just killed her laptop and has a 320 gb data drive sitting there doing nothing might offer her £20 for it and have 1 for osx and 1 for windows and find a way to put my cd drive into an external case so it can still be used.

I'm planning to buy a caddy, what's the official verdict -9.5mm or 12mm?
(I don't own a metric ruler)
Also Am I going to have to superglue this thing together!?
Only ssd I can afford is a 60gb so it's kinda necessary...
Also if you have a link for one that worked for you that'd be nice too!

Hi gerard71,
I've bought a 12 HDD caddy universal for my Probook. Please tell me how did you fixed the plate from HP to the caddy.
Thanks in advance.
