Guide To Install Yosemite on HP Laptops with Clover UEFI

Result:
Now the DP Port works on my Probook (
i5 HD4600) with id 0x0a260006 and the AppleIntelFramebufferAzul
but not with 4K Resolution
 only max 2560 x 1600 that's too bad

with set 0x0d260007 the 4K Displayport TFT work with 4K 3840 x 2160 an Retina Settings

but the 1920x1080 ProBook display is Flickering

another idea?

Try patching the connector in 0xa260006 just as in 0xd260007:

find: 020409000004000087000000
replace: 030603000008000006000000

Note: You can try changing the connector to more appropriate DP as well:

replace: 030603000004000006000000

The problem is we don't know what all of the data means... So guessing/trial/error prevails.

Is there a fix for the restart on wake problems? It´s getting really annoying. I have a HP ProBook 4330s, everything else works perfectly.

BIOS update/repatch dsdt
Install Bluetooth firmware uploader
EC reset

Try these.

Or can we make a 9mb framebuffer patch for 0xd260007?

Or can we make a 9mb framebuffer patch for 0xd260007?

Stock 0xd260007 uses a 21mb cursor bytes, on DVMT-prealloc assumption of 64mb (may be a problem).

My intention when I originally said "find an ig-platform-id that solves the external DP monitor issue" was always to turn around and patch 0xa260006 to match the DP port configuration of the found ig-platform-id.

So... I think it is easier to patch 0xa260006 for the working 0306 DP connector than to use 0xd260007 and fix all the other stuff that isn't right about 0xd260007.

Look at it this way. We have 0xa260006 working fine on the internal with 9mb cursor bytes patch. Only thing missing is the appropriate external connector (0306). So... patching 0xa260006 for the extra connector is the easiest way. Dumping 0xa260006 for 0xd260007 for a single connector definition is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Okay, i attached the file.

Your restart on wake problems are likely related to the USB bluetooth you have or the unsupported WiFi card you have installed.

Install a supported WiFi card or remove it.
Test without USB bluetooth.

What's up everyone, thank you all for your help. I got my hp 8460p running Yosemite smoothly, audio works as well as everything else. One issue I have is sometimes when I plug in my phone via USB (charging usb port or esata usb port on right of laptop) it'll restart automatically, and wont boot until I unplug the phone, force shut down and boot it up again, and then after I boot up again and plug in my phone it works, it's weird. Was wondering if anyone might know the solution to this issue? I will post a error log when I get home.

Are you plugging it into USB3 or USB2 port?

I believe USB 2.0, the specs don't mention any of them being 3.0.
