Hi Rehabman,
update to Mojave broke audio on my ZBook G1.
No idea how to fix it.
Used special branch 'applealc'. Boot without caches and rebuild with "sudo kextcache -I /".
Newest clover.
Pl. help.

Try different layout-id.
You will see where the layout-id is set in your model specific SSDT.

As per Resources_ProBook/README.text, these are the possible values for your codec (AppleALC):
IDT_76e0 (IDT92HD91BXX): 17
AppleALC: 3, 12(envy), 13, 33, 84

Make sure you rebuilt cache, rebooted..

Test same scenario on High Sierra. We need to know if that is a problem specific to Mojave.

Thanks Rehabman.

I have removed the AppleALC kext and rebuild the caches - I now have working audio.

However, my HDMI video output no longer works. Please could you help?

To use the applealc branch, AppleHDA.kext must be vanilla.
If you ever ran pre-patch_hda.sh, you will need to restore it to vanilla (run the macOS installer).

i can't go back to high sierra.

Install 10.13.6 fresh to a separate partition.
Report result.

To all that are trying the new repo: Test your system completely with the new code on High Sierra first!

What do you mean by "that"?
Install High Sierra?
Didn't you say you had done that before?
Same procedure as before.
