No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

No idea what you mean by "shuttered display".

EDID override for external monitors can be done with a display override file.
(such display override files are plists in /System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides)

where can i get instruction/procedure or generate EDID for my external monitor?
 
Hello!
I am having trouble with my touchpad on my HP ProBook 4530s. When I go to SysPrefs -> Trackpad I get a message that says "No Trackpad Found". Have I messed up somewhere? The touchpad itself and the keyword work fine, I just can't customize the touchpad's functionality.

Hey RehabMan, I am having issues with downloading FakeSMC and other various bits, I have done it many times before and worked, but now it hangs for a while then skips and downloads other bits n pieces, tried manually downloading it but will not even go to the BitBucket site....

any help much appreciated.

Likely due to APFS.
You should have installed on HFS+J instead:

You could also look into using abm_firstpolldelay to increase the battery status delay (yes, it can be related):

does generating EDID overide will solve my problem making external monitor(1080P) as primary display(booting probook in closed lid). is there a effect using hi res patch in probook 4540s(1080p) when using 1080p external monitor?
