[Guide] How to patch DSDT for working battery status

Hi damx one more time Thanks for your help solving audio problem!

I tried to use your patch and get lots of error (29 to be exact). Afterwards tried to use patch from RehabMan's repo and found patch for 5741G that also works for 7720G as you stated there (saw a comment # Acer Aspire 7720g (based on submit by damx))

So, this patch gave me 21 errors :( Uploading native aml with log message available here: https://gist.github.com/PkAIR/1f2c35fdf1a81bc8a4896d4540bd338e. If you have time, could you help me to figure out what's wrong there.

Hi Sir?

Can you please create DSDT for my laptop for working battery status?:rolleyes:

I saw Activity monitor fixed on 10.12.6 Sierra. There is no more any issue on laptop. Rehabman
Really thank you so much.

Yeah (well, no issues on certain hardware anyway)... now onto High Sierra.

thank you for high sierra B.I issue
i tested 7500 default value on 10.12.6. it seems to be shown too long. battery status is good but icon is red(enough battery but shown message about lack of battery)
i reduce 7500 to 4000 like your u430 laptop, there is no problem.

thanks

i tested all on 10.12.6

EDIT1.
randomly show red icon after boot. when using 4000

EDIT2.
3000 too. still shown red icon randomly

No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

(need to see ioreg that was captured with red battery indication)

I tested as high as 10000ms on my u430 and it still worked, without any red battery indicator.
I settled on 7500ms as a good in between.
I plan to test later (installing 10.13 now) on an HDD based 4530s (with i3...slow). It will be interesting to see how that is with regard to timing.
