GUIDE: GA-H55M-S2V Ethernet and Sound ALC888b Working! F2&F3

GA-H55M-S2V Ethernet and Sound ALC888b

Basic install:

Install using iBoot + Multibeast 3.10 (UserDSDT) with DSDT-GA-H55M-S2V-F3.aml (works also with DSDT-GA-H55M-S2V-F3.aml and F2 BIOS, thanks Braveheart99).


Select:

1 - Drivers & Bootloaders -> Kexts & Enablers ->DISK: IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector

2 - Customization -> Boot Options: 64-bit Apple Boot Screen

3 - Customization -> Themes: tonymacx86 Classic (optional)

4 - System Utilities: Rebuild Caches

5 - System Utilities: Repair Permissions


NOTE: Don't use VoodooPS2 with DSDT-GA-H55M-S2V-F3.aml.


Lan:

1 - Install Lnx2Mac for LAN.


Sound:

1 - Download the attachment: GA-H55M-S2V.rar

2 - Unzip.

3 - Install GigabyteALC888bautoHP.kext in Snow/Extra/Extensions

4 - Download Kext Utility or install from Multibeast.

5 - Throwing each file into Kext Utility, install AppleHDA.kext (rollback 10.6.2) and HDAEnabler.kext (manual put both files in Snow/System/Libray/Extensions)

6 - Double click in Kext Utility to repair kexts permisssions for system's and Extra folders

7 - Use Mulibeast -> System Utilities to repair permisions and cache.

8 - Restart.


I hope it helps! Works for me in 3 differents disks. Let me know if it work please.

I've succesfully been tested this components whit the GA-H55M-S2V:

Video cards:
MSI 9500GT OC 512MB (VGA, DVI & HDMI)
XFX 9400GT 512MB (VGA, DVI & HDMI)
MSI N8600GT OC 256MB (both DVI)
ECS GTS 250 1GB (Arctic Cooling cooler, VGA, DVI & HDMI it works only one at a time)

Not working:
Gigabyte GT210 512MB
Sapphire HD 3450

Processors:
Intel Core i5 661
Intel Core i5 760
Intel Core i7 860
Intel Pentium Dual Core G6950

Memory:
2 x 2GB Patriot Sector 5 1600MHz
2 x 4GB Patriot CL9 1333MHz
2 x 2GB A-Data CL9 2000MHz (3x2GB kit)

SATA:
5 SATA disk (Samsung F4 2x1TB, WD Green 2TB, WD 120GB 2.5', Hitachi Deskstar 2TB) & DVD-RW LiteON working ok

just got my system up... everything works! :)
 
In my GA-H55M-D2H rev1.4 BIOS F3, OSX 1.6.6 it can work, but everytime play something with a crap sound.

Your motherboard has Realtek ALC888B or ALC892 codec? Check the PCB and find out:

This guide works fine for the GA-H55M-S2V with ALC888B for 10.6.5.

Hello Everyone...

I have a question for you guys, because I see ya´ll have the same MOBO as I got:
GA-H55M-S2V (F3), with i3 540...

I tried to use the latest IBoot to install OS X today, and it wouldn´t boot...
When I select my USB drive (OS X Installer), it starts for a couple of seconds, before my computer restarts....

Anyone who knows what the issue is?
 
make sure to go into the bios and it is under ahci mode... everything else is pretty straight forward with this board, it works well.
