Don't use "Automatic Updates"
If you want to update to 10.7.3 use combo version from here

Important!!!
After updating to 10.7.3 run Installer 3.2.0 before rebooting.

Updated to 10.7.3 without any trouble.

But now I lost the ability to choose the operating system: windows or mac. I had it earlier...now by default, it boots to Apple.

Any help is highly appreciated.

After updating to 10.7.3, I lost the HP boot theme. Could someone point me to the download page for the theme ?

After boot screen should display Lion logo and message for 1 sec. "hit any key during startup"
Doing that should present choice of operating systems.

Method with "setup assistant.app" works perfectly, i had no keyboard and it saved me :)

also, about my wifi, i just messed smth up in bios, now it works, again guys, thx soo much!

Im new to hackintosh. and i want to install lion on mi dv6-6170us.
the specifications are:
i7 2630qm processor.
dedicate radeon 6770m 1g ddr5 video
6gb ram
the chipset is: Mobile Intel HM65 Express.
750 GB HDD / 5400 rpm Serial ATA-300


its the same chipset, and processor.
can i install lion?
dosent matter if wifi and radeon 6770m is not supported.

Please help. thanxs!


I forget, it has the F1-A bios. ( its a kick on the balls, dont let you change anythig, and when i said anythign its means anything!) I hate it!


Any sugestion will be very appreciate.
Sorry for the bad english, i speak spanish.

This laptop is not support by this thread. The general method may work though.
 
For those that were talking about the fan, there is a setting in the bios for 'fan always on while on ac power'.
