[Guide] Dell Inspiron 15 7559 (Skylake, i7-6700HQ, Intel HD 530) Using Clover

These patches apply to sleep/display in your DDST:
  • [igpu] Brightness fix
  • [usb] USB3_PRW 0x6D Skylake
Also, the disable nvidia patch stated in the guide can solve some sleep issues.
You should also install these kexts from RehabMan if you don't have them:
  • FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext
  • FakePCIID.kext
  • IntelBacklight.kext
edit: updated Dell_7559 package with most recent kexts

Well, I have disabled nVidia, applied all patches from this guide, and installed all kexts from updated folder. But wake still doesn't work(((

Describe problem in detail.

Attach ioreg as ZIP: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

Provide output (in Terminal):

kextstat|grep -y acpiplat
kextstat|grep -y appleintelcpu
kextstat|grep -y applelpc
kextstat|grep -y applehda

Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (press F4 at main Clover screen before collecting). Please eliminate 'themes' directory. Provide only EFI/Clover, not the entire EFI folder.

Attach output of (in Terminal):

sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /

Compress all files as ZIP. Do not use external links. Attach all files using site attachments only.
 
Well, when i close the lid or select sleep mode in Apple menu, laptop goes to sleep, display turns black. But when i'm wakening it, display turns a little lighter but still black. If i adjust brightness it becomes lither or darker, but still black. I can play music by pressing play button(if iTunes opened). So it look like everything works but not display. Thank you for your help. Without it, i would never go so far.

FakePCIID_Intel_SKL_Graphics.kext is deprecated. Delete.

You should probably try other ig-platform-id values...

Hi bashirov.artur, I also own a i5-6300HQ Inspiron 7559. You seems to be first one in the world who successfully hacked dell inspiron 7559 i5. I have a few questions about your installation.
1. you mentioned that 'clover won't boot with AC plugged, and USB plugged'. how do you boot into the installer without usb plugged?
2.what bios and clover version are you on right now?
