[Guide] Booting the OS X installer on LAPTOPS with Clover

...
Touchpad is working with your kext "VoodooPS2Controller.kext", but doesn't work the multitouch and other gestures.
I saw that maybe I need to install this drivers, but honestly I don't know if I have ELAN touchpad on my computer.

Which trackpad is in your laptop?

Post ioreg: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

HDMI is working, but after a few seconds, the screen turned black, but only the television, not in the laptop., also the HDMI audio is not working
Any way to fix this?

HDMI audio is covered in the FAQ.

Hi again RehabManm, I'm trying to fix the HDMI audio.

I following this part, but I'm not sure if I have Ivy/Sandy or Haswell
HDMI-audio on Haswell has several requirements:
........
HDMI-audio on Ivy/Sandy has several requirements:
.........

But also, in both methods, I need determine in which port the HDMI is connected, checking my ioreg, Do you know which port is for my laptop?

and for example if is this one:

<dict>
<key>Comment</key>
<string>HDMI-audio HD4000 0x01660003, port 0205</string>
<key>Name</key>
<string>disabled:AppleIntelFramebufferCapri</string>
<key>Find</key>
<data>AgUAAAAEAAAHBAAA</data>
<key>Replace</key>
<data>AgUAAAAIAAAGAAAA</data>
</dict>

Should I change 'disabled:' for 'enabled:' ?

Your profile indicates Ivy.

But also, in both methods, I need determine in which port the HDMI is connected, checking my ioreg, Do you know which port is for my laptop?

Plug HDMI device in and check in ioreg to see which port it attached to.

Trial/error also works.

Should I change 'disabled:' for 'enabled:' ?

No. Remove 'disabled:'.

You should be familiar with the software you're using: http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Home

Yes, totally right, I do not know a lot about these things. :banghead:
I will read the guide.
Thanks

Just realize the Name specified in a KextsToPatch entry corresponds to the name of a kext.

When we modify the name with 'disabled:' prefix, it fails to match on a valid kext, and as a result, has no effect.

We could modify it any way (prepend '#' or 'x' or 'remove_this_to_enable:').

On my system, I use '#' as it is commonly used for commenting and is easy to type and remove.

But for the guide config.plist files I used 'disabled:' in hopes that people would realize they need to remove it to enable the patch, realizing that Name is the name of a kext, and for example, no kext will match 'disabled:AppleIntelFramebufferCapri' because the actual kext is named 'AppleIntelFramebufferCapri', not 'disabled:AppleIntelFramebufferCapri'.

Post EFI/Clover folder.

Please provide complete (all 6) details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

System: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Nevermind. It now boots after a couple of reboots.

IMG_2695.jpg After the initial boot (using verbose), this screen appears. This prevents me from moving onto step 3 in post number 2. Is it because windows 8 is still installed, or another reason not covered in post one? If it is because of windows 8, how do I erase it before trying again, as I don't want to dual boot with it? I've also attached screenshots of the EFI/CLOVER file that were edited using this guide (post 1).
