El Capitan, maybe Sierra, High Sierra? El Capitan is probably the most stable for the performance of the Core2.

Thanks Rehabman for the instructions. I tried to follow them precisely for my Toshiba Satellite L50-A-19P with the clover 4658 but got stuck after booting from usb in a dos-like screen.

in the last step of the dos script when it copies from the RecoveryHDMetaDmg.pkg a virus is detected by win11

clover is being replaced by opencore nowadays, try that instead
