Perfect thank you very much. So now I rename it dsdt.aml and copy and paste (replacing the old) in the Extra folder right?

Yes. I always just copy it in Terminal:

Code:
cp ~/Downloads/joyfult-dsdt-patched.aml /Extra/dsdt.aml

But however you get it done is fine.

Kind of goes without saying, but... Don't forget to extract it first. A .ZIP doesn't work so well as an AML.

Thank you so much man! I extracted, renamed and replaced the file in the Extra folder. Once rebooted, everything is going fine for now.
I need time to verify if the problem of the occasional kernel panic is solved, because as I said is "occasional". I will let you know!
How do I can benchmark my system? I want to check if something is changed.
Thanks again man! You rule!

Geekbench? DSDT probably won't help with performance (except for the known IOAPIC boot delay), but stability... hopefully...

The Geekbench score is 5886. Is good?
Now, from 10.8.0 to 10.8.2? The best way to proceed? I trust only you. You are my mentor!

RehabMan I notice that the fan is more noisy now. Is that normal?

For 10.8.0 to 10.8.2 you should be able to use the 10.8.2 combo update: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1581

Then after installing that (don't reboot):
- Use tegezee's ProBook installer to get 10.8.1 kexts (just choose the Mac OS X option 10.8.1)
- Get BigDonkey's 10.8.2 patched kexts: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook/63348-hp-probook-installer-4-1b1-82.html#post453284 (install with Kext Wizard)
(Note I don't use the patched AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext as I find vanilla one works fine for my purposes)
- If you have trouble booting, then you probably need AHCI patch, so boot "Ignore Caches" (-f) and use the AHCI patch here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...n-kernel-cache-used-only-with-some-disks-fix/

optional:
- Get my battery manager from: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook/69472-battery-manager-fix-boot-without-batteries.html (install with Kext Wizard)
(at this point you will have one that works from the ProBook installer, but mine has bug fixes not in that version)
- Improved trackpad/keyboard driver: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook/75649-new-voodoops2controller-keyboard-trackpad.html
(make sure you read the instructions in README.md)
- Enhanced Fan Control: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook/72043-new-fan-control-dsdt-silent-fan-higher-temps.html
(again, read all the instructions)

Thank you for the instructions!
Just a question: before to change the dsts.aml, the fan was silent, but now it is louder. Doing nothing (just staying on the desktop with the wifi on), the fan is noisy..

Well, if you run HWMonitor (from ProBook installer), you can get a slightly better fan behavior. There is interaction between HWMonitor... reading temps via DSDT methods... and those DSDT methods modifying the fan behavior.

But if you really want to take control over your fan, see the other thread I pointed you at. But to do that you're going to have to learn how to deal with your own DSDT. I have my fan off until CPU heat sink goes above 50 degrees C.
