So, are the B chips going to be showing up in all 780 cards? Or is it a different chip and will only show up on certain boards?

Thats a good question. There are threads already on this, do a search upper right hand corner above your name, the "search" option.

Tomorrow Im installing Windows 8 and Ill let you know if my ASUS GTX 780 OC is A or B revision of GK110 GPU. If its "A" Ill let you know where I purchased from (shopblt.com).

Do a search there are threads which are very detailed.

Ill update this later with a link from here at TMx86

If your card is 300-A1 your fine, if its 300-B then OpenCL apps will crash. What do you mean exactly?

I have OpenCL apps crash and update to 10.9.1 did not help. Maybe I should install something to solve this problem?

I took the risk and bought the GTX 780 card off of Craigslist (see below for model). Thankfully, it worked!!!

So, the only way to get a rev A1 may be through CL if you can find someone who is cool enough to send you a screenshot of their NVidia Inspector. If the NI says it's revision A1 you're golden. You can also look for these BIOS:

Version 80.10.36.xx.xx
Version 80.10.37.xx.xx
Version 80.10.3A.xx.xx

The GPU:
EVGA ACX Cooler 03G-P4-2784-KR GeForce GTX 780 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Hi alexpersegona. I also have a gtx 780 Rev.A01 GPU. All adobe CC programs work smoothly, but I have problems with preview and quick look when I open pictures, does this work for you? My system running 10.9.1

Wondered why people where posting on my youtube channel saying there 780's where crashing in premier when i have had no problems with mine, obviously i was oblivious to not knowing i have the "A" version lucky for me.

I found the following info.
Revision A seems to have a label like this, but I'm not sure if it is possible to see it from the outside:
GK-110-300-A1
http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/b2119/msi-gtx-780-gaming-oc.html

The Rev. B:
GK-110-300-B1
http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/b2592/msi-gtx-780-gaming-oc.html

I'm just building my first one, and as a last minute update I decided to go with the MSI 780 Gaming instead of the 770. Didn't check if it was supported. I hope there'll be an update sooner or later.
I'll probably see tomorrow which revision I have, as I'll get back to building it.

Does this problem also affect Premiere CS6?

I did the same thing for another build that I am currently doing. Was debating between those two and the MSI 780 went on sale for $450 on newegg a couple weeks ago, so I made a quick decision and picked it up. Let me know what you find out with yours please.

When I took a chance and bought my 780 GTX from CL, I saw that the board came with the bios starting with 80.10... and not 80.80... like the ver B1 boards.

BTW, yes my preview is working after I updated to 10.9.1. I think it'll be next near to impossible to get the older Rev A1 boards unless you buy use (assuming the majority of A1 boards have already sold). Hopefully, Nvidia will release some new drivers soon.

The best way to check is look for the bios version printed on the board and then look for it on this site:
http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/index.php?did=10de-1004--

From there you will be able to track down your cards and see what revision it is.

I do not understand. My video card should work - it "GK110-300-A1" and it really works Premiere Pro, Photoshop and AE rabotaeyut too! But the problem is - iPhoto gives an error, I can not open the image by double-clicking - error.

What to do?
