Hi all,

I've been trying to get this to work for a year now, on and off, searching, trial and lots of error.

I have posted here where I am currently at

https://plus.google.com/110326043043161674953/posts/1B5tNS52uEP

Grub is the bootloader for the SSD which holds Mavericks and Ubuntu. I can boot using the thumbdrive I set up in OS X (mutlibeast?) into either OS, but I'd like to be able to do away with that.
I have copied the boot0 chainloader to the Ubuntu /boot dir and pointed to that in the grub entry. /boot is on / on the Ubuntu partition (1 big one, not ideal but that's how it is)

Any tips?

Let me know if I need to provide more info.

Thanks.

The big questions here are:
Are both OS's installed on same drive or separate?
Do you want Chimera or Grub2 to be your boot loader?

Thank for the response.

Both OSs are on the same drive. I would like to stick with Grub2 if I could.

GPT disk. Something installed a small 200MB partition at the start, then a hfplus partition followed by an ext4 partition.

I can get and paste the full layout if needed.

Thanks.
