Going to start a long term build project G4 Cube.

Okay just saw in the bios that the cpu runs at 105 degrees but in osx it was 40 degrees and the hole time the cpu fan grill stays cold.. anyone an idea?

This is not normal. Is the thermal compound properly applied?

I'm using the terminal paste from the gelid cool block that was standard on there, maybe i'll put on some extra paste.

after i cut out a pice from the cpu fan grill i put it back on and tighten it and waited i bit and started the macine back on the fan start to blow 2686 RPM:S strange..

Could it be that some metal chippings came into the fan motor and ki..ed the PWM electronic circuit? 2600RPM sounds like full speed. If I remember correctly, PWM fans always run @ full speed, if there's no PWM signal.

Hmm maybe some of the metal pièces that i cut of the CPU grill Fall on the CPU i hope not.. I have no other idea how the fan blows at full speed..:S

maybee bios settings have been corrupted (long shot) investegate the settings in bios, or try loading from defaults
