Hi.
I have a GT710 GPU and switched to a quadro k2000.
When booting up now, I get a black screen with a mouse cursor.
I am usign big sur and open core.
It has been a while since I installed the gt170 and don't remember if i did any fiddling to get it working. maybe the "fiddling" is what is somehow blocking the k2000 from working now?
SMbios is 18,3

Any hits?
Thanks.

I’m sorry but afaik Nvidia doesn’t have any support in Big Sur aside from the GT700 series. That’s probably why you are experiencing a black screen.

The reason I got it, was that it was supposed to work "out of the box".

Hope to get it working somehow
There can be many causes of a black screen at boot up. Problems in the EFI folder, using a DP adapter that doesn't play well with macOS. Using a TV or other monitor that's not meant for use with a workstation graphics card. etc. If the card is not defective in some way, you have to look deeper into the problem. If a straight HDMI connection from a GT 710 did work, using DP to HDMI or VGA may not.

I'm only using straight DP to DP cables.
:)

Dell monitor 1920x1080.
The card has 3 ports. 2 DP and one DVI.
All ports do the same.
Thanks :)

Not tested with windows/linux. Will test later.
Could using whatevergreen+lilu help?

Could using whatevergreen+lilu help?
Definitely could. WEG is used routinely for graphics support in macOS. In some scenarios you can get by without it. Most use it. Lilu is always included in the EFI folder.
