Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Updated, sorry about that. I'm not comfortable with these things.
Here is my actual EFI folder with Clover 5.18.3
I've blanked my System SN.
you uploaded a clover efi but you mentioned you are trying to use opencore?

My actual EFI is clover one but i've read that i've to switch to opencore to update my Mac OS.

Hi everyone !
I'm using an old version of @pastrychef’s settings, running Clover 5.18.3 and Catalina 10.15.7.

I want to update to Ventura due to softs update

My config is :
- Bios F9j
- Intel Core i9900K processor 3,6 GHz 16 Mo
- Graphic Card Radeon RX 5700 XT
-
Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming

I’ve followed instructions from @pastrychef’s post here

I’ve got the OpenCore Boot Picker, click on Mac OS, got the Apple logo + loading bar and… nothing more.

Do I need to update my BIOS ? I’ve seen on Gigabyte website only F9 or F9m.

If you have any advice I take it.

Thanks in advance.

As others have suggested, going to OpenCore is recommended as is clearing NVRAM.

Hi everyone,

Sorry for my late answer but RL™ takes me away from my hackintosh.

Anyway, I've download the latest efi folder from post#1,
fill all the infos required, boot from my USB drive,
choose the EFI folder and got this message :
OCS : no schema for instanceidentifier at 4 index. context <boot>!

After I've got the OC boot picker, i clean NVRAM and reboot,
I select MacOS, the black screen with apple logo and the progress bar then nothing…

Any idea ?

TIA

That error message will be telling you there is a difference in the version of OpenCore you are using and your config.plist's version. It is actually telling you in which section the missing part is.

Often this happens if you use the OpenCore Configurator app released for a different version of OpenCore bootloader.

You can correct this by adding the missing key, or using the matching version of the app.

:)

Ok. Thanks.

After downgrade my OpenCore Configurator app version, i've no more message but i'm still stuck at the same black screen with apple logo and progress bar blocked at the start point.

Ignore that message for now. Get macOS installed first.
