Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

There’s a lot of interest in that card so keep us updated when the card arrives! In the worst case we can see if the default VGA driver will kick in.
There is a thread on the forum with a 6800xt that’s running on 18mb VGA.

If someone has a spare drive with BS beta on it you can go into recovery mode and disable the Snapshots and then disable csr util. I did it a few months ago in the early beta for Atheros WiFi card. This will allow you to edit the kexts to test on the Navi 10 drivers.

Here’s a link to how to disable csrutil.

Here’s a link to another thread with a few 6800 cards.

Has anyone tried with the latest Big Sur, released later on the same day as the cards? Build number has gone up from 20B29 to 20B50.

We're expecting @xtreem.p to test his RX 6800 XT on macOS 11.1 Public Beta.

Hi!!... while changing the cpu to a 3700X, i accidentally got some thermal paste (kryonaut) on the cpu pins!!!
Im soaking it in rubbing alcohol overnight and hopefully by tomorrow ill be able to use a toothbrush to brush off the paste from the pins and re-try...im such an idiot :)

Can now confirm that it doesnt work at this moment with 6800XT and the current beta release.

The 11.1 beta was 'built' on 17th Nov but the release of the cards wasn't until the 19th.

The latest build of 11.0.1 (20B50) was on the evening of the 19th, ie after the cards were released. I'd be more inclined to think that any drivers would be in the released 20B50 version, rather than the 11.1 beta, if at all.

As expected...

There are a small set of drivers that together provide the necessary support for each generation of AMD GPUs. We have seen that NAVI 21 device IDs are not currently supported across the X6000 set.
