Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H motherboard upgraded Mavericks install to Yosemite with Unibeast 5.0.0 just fine on a 500GB SSD. Booted to drive just fine through Unibeast USB drive. Ran Multibeast and installed ALC887/888b v100302 Current drivers (this is what worked in Mavericks install) and Chimera v4.0.0. Reboot and get Boot0 error, followed Boot0 error guide posted at this site, which worked on Mountain Lion install and was not necessary for Mavericks upgrade but failed to fix the problem this time. Using the USB to boot the audio drivers are not working as well. No line out option shows in System Preferences->Audio. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. As a side note I do have another hard drive in the system as a Time Machine back up but I would not think it would cause any issues. Here is diskutil list output. Looks like disk0s2 is correct option for dd'ing the image to.

what videocard are you using? i have the same mobo and i can't get the installer to boot, i get a white square with a circle slashed in diagonal (the prohibited sign on streets).

i have the radeon 7850.
Not even -x works. I tried booting through the integrated video card and nothing.
Mavericks installed so easily... Can you give me your bios settings?

bah, my issue was caused by using the usb3 port. Changed to a usb2 port and now it boots the installer.
If i am successful i will try enabling audio

I got sound working , our mobo has a VT2021 which means you should use multibeast to install VoodooHDA with the VT2021 patch.

I get "no mach kernel" when booting without the usb drive, but my guess is that i will need the EFI method to make it work.

Network works fine as well with the Atheros2220 driver.
My radeon 7850 works fine without any hacks this time around.

The EFI trick worked just fine like last time, since my installation is on the second hard drive i just press F12 and choose the drive and it boots without any changes.
I don't care much about imessage so i am done

Socket 1155 board needs a socket 1155 CPU. The 1150 model that you list definitely does not fit in the GA-Z77-DH3 board

The following thread will show you how to fix your boot from HDD issue:

sorry my bad the cpu is LGA 3570K 1155

THANK:D:D

Use a smaller H/disk. Apparently something to do with not liking disk bigger than 1tb.
