No need for complicated procedures- just use the iMac11,1 smbios.plist from MultiBeast. Haven't tested with MacPro yet- but it was working for me via 32bit MSRTools test.

Actually as of 10.6.4 I believe, you can use Mac Pro or iMac smbios to achieve speedstep.

Is there any other way to check whether SpeedStep is activated besides MSR Tools in 32 bit mode? I'm in 64 bit mode, using iMac 11,1 Core i5 setting in my smbios.plist and MacCPUID.app is reporting that im running my Core i3/530 at 2.93GHZ.

I'm having a problem getting to the install screen with this board. I have a core i7-860 on it with an nvidia GeForce 9400.

I can get to iBoot just fine but whenever I try and load the installer from my retail SL cd it turns off. I see the apple logo with the spiny loading circle for a while, then the screen turns blue and I have the pinwheel mouse, then a short time later the whole computer just turns off.

This happens no matter what I do... iBoot Supported, iBoot nvidia, safe mode, not safe mode, it doesn't make a difference. It tries to load the install screen and then it just turns off. Idk what to do!

Hi all,
Im having trouble with speedstep working. Heres a pic of msr tools. It never changes from that clock speed. Am using imac 11,1 smbios and all cpu features are enabled and am still stumped. Updated bios to f11 and dsdt to the same f11 aml file on a gigabyte p55a-ud3 rev 1.0. Any help?

Oh forgot to include smbios and com.apple.plist. Let me know if you see anything strange.
