I looking to purchase a new FireWire Card, the one I have in my machine now is one I took from an old G4 mac, it's a Belkin card. Works, I hardly get any Latency issues, but wanted FireWire 800 just to see if I can get a better working card, this one is getting old. I have windows 10 installed and I've been using that more lately. I just want something that will work fine with my Presonus FireStudio and not give me much latency and also work with a future Hackintosh install. I haven't worked on a fresh install in a while. I read the link below, but it didn't seem to offer anything for Musicians and Digital Mixers. The Belkin one that I have works, but I get some freezes under Windows 10 when using Guitar Rig and it drops out sometimes, I figured if I get a new FireWire 800 it might be a little faster and up to date?
