I have not had any problems with the previous Yosemite updates. But when I tried to update to 10.10.4 I god stuck halfway trough when I try to boot.

I've got the following error when I boot in -v mode:

utun_ctl_connect: creating interface utun0
utun_start: ifnet_disable_output returned error 12

I have tried to update two times both with MAS and combo update but I get this same error every time.
Im on Chimera.

Have you found a solution? I'm having the same issue after trying to update today.

No I'm afraid not. But I have not really looked further into it since.

I'm thinking that I want 2 start over with Clover when 10.11 is released and stable. From what I've gathered a Clover installation seams a lot more stable when updating.

That's too bad. I'm looking into doing a clean install at this point.

Did any of you figure this out?

I too have this problem after upgrading fro Mav to El Cap. I used the Clover Unibeast guide. The upgrade succeded and I was able to boot main system through clover bootloader ... shut it down ... rebooted a couple of hours later and the bootloader freezes at this error point with exact same error as Op. It's part of some Open source "ifnet" framework accoring to google sources but I dont know what it relates to on my hack.

Anybody else ever seen this before?!?
