If you set:
Multi-monitor Enable (which is the right setup if you want to use both iGPU and GFX0) then the DVMT Pre-Allocated will be forced to 64MB, as matter of fact you can check the Info field at the bottom of the BIOS page (with iGPU Multi-Monitor selected at that time). For setting it correctly you have to set:

• Primary display= CPU Graphics
• DVMT Pre_Allocated = 128M or greater

This way the integrated graphics only works correctly. You cannot have both the two graphics cards to work under an Asus motherboard as far as I know. And if you set PEG0 as Primary display system won't boot correctly.

I agree. Asus Z170i Pro gaming, i7 6700, no way for AMD discrete, even with the good old OOB RX460.
Please make me a liar and prove the opposite!

It was, last time when I checked. When 2nd card was added I couldn't boot to OSX desktop.
And, if @Ur-Quan configuration is used (where 2nd RX480s, defined as "arbitrary" device, has fake device-id, while 1st one is set to EF670000) it works fine - I have working Intel and one RX480.

Hi,
First of all thanks for this thread, it helps me (months ago) to set up my msi rx480 (8G).

I just have a question ; is there a way to control the temperature of the graphic card using the Fan RPM Speed ?
In fact my graphic card is very hot (60°C at least) and summer begin in my country...
But the fan aren't working before a high temp.

I tried to flash a custom ROM I made on Windows. This ROM was designed to set the minimum fan speed to 1000 RPM even without load. It works just fine in Windows but not at all in MacOs...
So the temp is controlled by Apple software and not the graphic card ROM.
I saw that in the hexa code of the 9510 kext, there is some code about AutoWattman and FanControlRPMSpeed, but no temps variables are specified...

So if someone have a solution, please tell me.

I hope that the "macfan control app" solutions will work on MacOs10.13 since apple will use Polaris graphics.

quick question would I be able to jus follow your guide to get my Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX580 following your guide?
is there a different method to get my Graphics card to work on Sierra 10.12.5?
also running ASUS ROG STRIX Z270G with i7 7700k.

I have 7mb below and I have default framebuffers working but no acceleration for CPU graphics, so how does one fix this?
