I currently have the following setup:

  • Motherboard: Asus P8H67-M LE
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Graphics Card: GTX 760
  • Storage: 120 GB SSD with Windows 7 installed and 3 1TB drives in motherboard RAID 5

I read that OSX does not support RAID 5 without a RAID card. This is what I need in a configuration

  • Dual-boot Windows and OSX - is 50GB for each enough?
  • Able to access files (Documents, Music, Movies) from both OSs
  • Separate Partitions for Apps and Games
  • Some kind of RAID if possible

I do have a 4TB Drive for backups

Is there a good configuration for me?

In order to keep your mainboard RAID array, the SATA ports have to be configured for RAID. OS X requires SATA ports to be configured to AHCI for OS X to boot, so you lost your RAID right there.
If you want to keep the drives in RAID, get a PCIe RAID card that you can connect your drives to.

I would suggest this one - http://www.hptmac.com/product.php?_index=76&viewtype=introduction

50Gb per OS is not enough. Get another 120Gb SSD for OS X.
To access files on the RAID from both drives you need a 3rd party software like Paragon for Mac or Paragon for Windows so both OS's can read/write to the RAID array.
