Dual Boot 1 SSD and 1HDD

I have done some searching but couldn't really find an answer. To save money I'm going to buy and sandisk 120gb SSD and 1TB HDD, the SSD partition for both os win8/ML and the HDD partition for all the files for wins8 and ML. How would I go about setting that up. I am more concerned about how the HDD will work with the partition SSD.
