Sabertooth X58 DSDT.dsl and DSDT.aml from BIOS 0603

Hello, I'm new here! I thought that with my first post on these forums I could help others and help myself by uploading the Sabertooth X58 DSDT (for some reason, no one else has done this).

I used MMTOOL (Google it) in Windows to extract the "ACPI AML" data from the BIOS file into DSDT.aml. Then, I used iasl.exe to decompile the DSDT.aml file to DSDT.dsl. Normally, I would boot from my Ubuntu CD but since I upgraded recently to the Sabertooth X58, my IDE ODD doesn't work on the IDE port-less motherboard.

I don't have the experience needed to modify the .dsl file for OS X, so I'm posting it and the .aml file unmodified here hoping that someone will be able to modify it correctly for everyone.

Sabertooth X58 DSDT.aml works on BIOS 0603 *Modified*

Ok, I modified the Sabertooth X58 DSDT files by following this post. It may or may not work, but I'll be testing it soon.

Scratch that, it didn't work. Now I'm using this guy's DSDT.aml.

This is for an EVGA P55 FTW - BIOS rev A72.

It was extracted by me and edited by MaLd0n over at InsanelyMac. All credit for this working goes to MaLd0n.

Modified Includes:
ALIAS, DTGP, HID/CID, IRQs, LAN, MUTE, REMOVE, RENAME, SMBUS, SHUTDOWN

I'm going to give this a try tonight. I have EVGA P55 SLI, but I compared your unmodified DSDT, to mine, and it seemed like the only difference was the OEMID, and MaLd0n changed that anyway. I'll report back my results.

Here's my setup:

  • Motherboard: Asus P5Q [/*:m:z5iybaul]
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00 GHz[/*:m:z5iybaul]
  • GPU: Gigabyte GTX 460 1Gb[/*:m:z5iybaul]
  • OSX: 10.6.6 Vanilla[/*:m:z5iybaul]

[attached DSDTs with Native Speedstep and without speedstep + the only 2 kexts enabled in order to run this system.DSDT.amlDSDT_no_speedstep.dsl

  • Orange disk Icons: FIXED[/*:m:z5iybaul]
  • Sound: WORKS with provided KEXTkexts.zip[/*:m:z5iybaul]
  • Ethernet: WORKS with provided KEXTkexts.zip It should actually work without the Kext (I included a patch I found around in both DSDTs, search for "Attansic" in the DSDT). Is there someone here that was able to make it work kextless?[/*:m:z5iybaul]
  • Reboot: WORKS[/*:m:z5iybaul]
  • Sleep: Should work (my GTX 460 doesn't wake, has anyone a solution?)[/*:m:z5iybaul]
[*]Firewire: Should work (not tested)
Hope it will help someone.

My board an old ASUS P5VD2-MX 775 socket cpu back from 2006, will it make sense to make a dsdt file here and make it work? or is no matter what it will not work?
i tried but i get some errors when i try to compile and when i force to compile it doesnt work. actually the reason why i want to use it is because i have a working 10.6.6 installed but with my 7800 GTX i was hoping to get qe/ci working, if there is any other way to make it work and somebody know how it would be nice to know it, most of standard things i tried already.
thank you in advance.

This is for DFI jr p45 t2rs

It is edited so you can have all fixes + hi-def audio + Apple LPC Device fix to be recognized by osx. Shutdown -restart ok. Doesn't resume from sleep - don't know how to fix.

My installation is vanilla with fakesmc.kxt only and efi studio for the old 7900gt. Everything works ok, except for sleep.

I'm going to try this tonight. I have a very similar setup.

Thank you.
