Doesn't sleep by itself after Mountain Lion update GA-Z68A-D3H-B3

I got this, in fact there is another problem with my ML update. My internal HDD (not the boot drive) which is connection to the White SATA connector keep showing up as External.
I tried both 3rd Party SATA and IOAHCIBlackStorageInjector. It didn't solve the problem. is it the reason causing autosleep failure?

Code:
Assertion status system-wide:
   PreventUserIdleDisplaySleep 0
   PreventSystemSleep 0
   PreventUserIdleSystemSleep 0
   ExternalMedia 1
   DisableLowPowerBatteryWarnings 0
   UserIsActive 0
   ApplePushServiceTask 0
   BackgroundTask 1

Listed by owning process:
  pid 18(powerd): [0x000000090000012c] 00:03:39 ExternalMedia named: "com.apple.powermanagement.externalmediamounted"
  pid 192(helpd): [0x0000000c00000133] 00:03:06 BackgroundTask named: "com.apple.helpd.sdmbuilding"

both of those are preventing idle sleep.

sdmbuiding is to do with help data for applications, and will eventually go away once its finished building the folder.
a temporary solution would be to force quit the helpd process in activity monitor, but will just rebuild upon restart.
if it doesnt go away after a period of time, you can use the terminal command
Code:
launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.helpd.plist
which should permanently stop it.

the external disk issue needs to be sorted out before idle sleep will work, and will not sort itself out.
are you using the uefi bios for your board, or the older award bios?

I am using GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 F11 BIOS with DSDT

try this.
its the dsdt for your board downloaded from the database, with the orange sata fix added.
i dont know whether that fix works on the award bios boards or not, but try it.

delete the 3rd Party SATA and IOAHCIBlackStorageInjector kexts, replace the current dsdt with this one, restart and with any luck the hard drive should be seen as internal.

The New DSDT solved the orange SATA problem. THX:)
I waited the Background Tasks to finish to pulled the Assertion Status.
there was no 1 listed
Yet it still doesn't sleep by itself. The display was turned off automaticly, but fans were still spinning, lights on and everything
manual sleep still works perfectly.

open console.app in the utilities folder.

click 'show all messages'

in system preferences>energy saver, set the sleep time to 1 minute.

after a minute, the display should go to sleep. the system might take longer to auto sleep. mine takes roughly 2 minutes to autosleep (when set to 1 minute), so dont be too hasty.

if after 3 mins the system still hasnt slept, look at console around the time it should have slept. it should mention reason for wake, or similar.
if you cant see anything obvious, copy and paste what was reported around the time it should have slept.

Hi samisnake I have the same issue on my GA-P67-UD5-B3 with F8 BIOS

I have had to use 3rd party SATA andIOAHCIBlackStorageInjector kexts to change my orange drives and now my system will not auto sleep.

Could you either show me a link to the DSDT edit - or if you have time edit my F8 DSDT - (from TonyMac database)

thanks Orlando

dsdt attached.

all that is done, for anyone else wanting to do it, is open the dsdt off of the database in DSDT EDITOR, and apply the ACHI ORANGE SATA patch.
the editor can be found here http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=62
and the patch here http://olarila.com/forum/patches.php

use pmset -g assertions in terminal, and sort out anything noted.
untick "wake for ethernet network access" in energy saver options.

auto sleep can be flukey as hell though, so if it doesnt work it isnt the end of the world.
up until mountain lion, i was using pleasesleep to get auto sleep working. even real macs have issues with it, so as long as forced sleep works i wouldnt fret.

thanks samisnake... that worked just great....still no auto sleep though. worked a treat in lion.

tried pmset commands and they were all 0

although it did give some kernel messages?

In your org.chameleon.boot.plist, do you have darkwake=0 or darkwake=1 set? I found that in Mountain Lion you need to put darkwake=yes or darkwake=no. Or just don't have the flag in there at all, depending on your needs. This fixed auto-sleep for me. Also, your DVD drive could be preventing sleep. Having a disk in the drive can fix this.
