Re: If intel new X79 support lion?
So Sleep is working for you?
kurtface said:After many trials I found this way to install Lion on a Asus X79 Pro board using unibeast the best.
Have the lastest version of Multibeast on a USB Drive.
The drive you want to install onto should be on the second Sata 3 port. Shows up as P2 in bios or P1 when the system boots. Just for the installation change to "EFI Compatable ROM" within the boot settings. Also disable all the other Sata controllers. And you might want to disable the CPU smart fan option.
When your system boots press F8 and the boot from your Unibeast drive. Hit enter to intall. If it does not get there try again but type "PCIRootUID=1" before you hit enter.
Delete all partitions on the drive and then make 1 new one the size you want.
Install.
When your system restarts press F8 again and boot from your unibeast drive. This time you choose the drive you installed OSX on. If it doesn't get there try again typing "PCIRootUID=1" again before you hit enter.
Once you have finished putting in your details run multibeast.
These options should be marked.
EasyBeast install
System Utilities
ALC8xxHDA
ALC892
VoodooHDA 0.2.1
IOAHCIBlockstorageinjector
FakeSMC + Plugins
NullCPUpowermanagement
hnaks AppleintelE1000e ethernet
Bootloaders
MacPro 5.1
OSx86 software
Before you reboot copy the extras folder from your unibeast drive "Show package contents" to your Lion drive. To do this you must have show all files on. Open the org.chameleon.boot.plist in the extra folder on your lion drive and remove PCIRootUID=1 from it.
You can now install the 7.3 update or reboot onto your lion drive and then update.
It should be working.
Drivers for Quadro cards can be downloaded at Nvidia.
For me everything works this way. But there is just one thing and thats bluetooth.
It only works if you have it working in windows first. and it might not always show.
Its the same onboard one as on this thread.
