Heya everyone,
Im hoping the community can help me out here, I've tried almost everything I can think of.
My new erase and install isn't going well. The install portion works fine, and I am able to finish setup assistant with no problem. Where the trouble comes : while booted from the USB's EFI, I install the post-install tools and none of those tools install to my SSD's EFI. They seem to install to the main partition of the SSD instead.
I am unable to install the essentials because of this, so no sound and no Ethernet, plus I have to keep the USB drive plugged in just to boot my new install of OS X. I thought another erase and reinstall would help, but no, a fresh attempt changes nothing. I have even resorted to copying and pasting to the mounted EFI of that SSD, also doesn't work.
Thoughts? Questions? Any help is appreciated.
