Hello all!

I am new here as well as to the Mac world. I would like to build a Custom Mac Mini. I am low on budget. Can you guys please suggest a configuration for the machine?

If budget is a concern, check out this kit if you live near a Fry's store:

The caveat is non-functioning audio, but that can be remedied with a USB or PCIe audio device. I've also been able to sweet talk them into an upgraded part before by offering to pay the difference, but it takes a bit of luck and you have to be super nice.

First thing you can do, is reading the recommended list:

But it's the 2012 guide, so it's the latest components. (and not yet the new core i3)

You could also take the cheapest parts from the 2011 guide:
