My Configuration:
OpenCore 0.7.9
iMac20,1
Asus B460-I mainboard
16 GB 2133 MHz DDR4
AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT 8 GB

I solved this problem by using an EFI from Githib, that someone posted there for this mainboard and Monterey. I just added the kexts for my WLAN/Bluetooth card and my own USB map.
But now I have the problem that after each restart, I get the message 'The system has POSTed in safe mode' . After a reset, is boots normally into MacOS again, but I have problems starting into Windows, this only worked when I changed the boot device from the MacOS EFI partition to the Windows boot partiton (so not using OpenCore to boot windows).

You could have a look at my Z490 Monterey build here and see if it helps, although I am using OC 0.6.8. Technically it should work with yours too. Just select the Monterey AMD version of the EFI. But you may need to change the AAPL,ig-platform-id and device-id of the Intel IGPU PCI root device properties to C89B0000 and 00009BC8 > https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...-aorus-xtreme-core-i5-10500-i9-10900k.317244/

For the Windows bootup, you'll need to apply this fix from Dortania > https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Multiboot/oc/win.html

Thanks, I'll try that
Regarding the problem with windows - that is a misunderstanding: I see windows in Open Core and can boot it, but it results in a blue screen with the message 'ACPI BIOS error'. I could overcome this by booting windows directly. Since this never happened before, I guess this is a result of the 'POSTed in safe mode' issue.

Still having the 'The system has POSTed in safe mode', also with your EFI. Did't have that with my original EFI that worked fine in Big Sur, but unfortunately led to crashes in Monterey.

I think I know why. It's possible my EFI is a little outdated now because of the OC. If you are running the latest Monterey I'm afraid there could be issues.

In any case I thought maybe you could have a look at this build, reason being it is ASUS Z490 specific (my Gigabyte board has some differences), so should be more up your alley. It also uses OC 0.7.5. so is quite up to date. > https://github.com/jergoo/Hackintosh-ROG-STRIX-Z490I
