Yeah the 970 would def be a safer bet so if you are upgrading now then get that one.

You are right, 380 is cheaper, 390 same or a bit more than 970. (Germany)
Will be staying with Yosemite for a undefined time as my CAD app is not supporting El Capitan yet and they found massive glitches while testing.

First picture of build (as a last post in "buing advice"), thanks for the provided help.
Yesterday the case finally arrived.
The GPU isn't choosen yet, cooling isn't choosen yet.
But first I want to get this maschine working (Yosemite).
