Read compatibility overview: http://www.tonymacx86.com/laptop-compatibility/106791-laptop-compatibility.html

If you have UEFI capability, use Clover: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...oting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover-uefi.html

You can use Clover without UEFI (and you may want to try that), but I don't cover a legacy install in that guide.

Unibeast/Chimera (or Chameleon), read here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...-booting-os-x-installer-laptops-unibeast.html

Also, you will find many of the stickies here useful: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/

I did as the tonymacx86.com tutorial said.i made bootable pen drive with laptop support.
It said

  1. To access BIOS/UEFI Setup, press and hold Delete on a USB Keyboard while the system is booting up..(i did this but couldn't get into this setting.
  2. that's why i proceeded without doing this and it showed chimera boot loader and when i continued with the USB i inserted. it stucked after showing apple logo and a loading bar.after that no buttons worked and i had to put out the battery.

Not all BIOS use Delete to access BIOS. Refer to your laptop manual or pay attention to the on-screen prompts during BIOS POST.

Follow one of the guides I linked.
