Oh, ok. I just found an article somewhere about projected power needs for components are usually overkill now that PSU's are rated 80+ now? Not entirely sure what it all means, but if I don't need to use a 650w psu and can get away with a 400w, that saves a bit of space you know? Is there anybody that has used a modded xbox 360 psu? Is there a forum on that maybe? I'm an electrician, not an electronics guy, so this is all very new to me.

The PSUs are sized for the configuration. You can find PSU wattage size calculators on the Internet.
And, no, 80 watts is nowhere near enough for motherboard, processor, memory and a hard drive. Mac Minis use very low power components that you wouldn't use in a desktop computer.
