Side Note: when I use Clover, I have to boot in verbose, and it flashes the OS X Boot Screen, No mouse then enters a Single-User-ish display black screen white cursor, and it never gets any further... any ideas as to why OS X is doing this?

You are probably not using a config.plist written for your hardware.

It is handled by AirPortBrcm4331.kext.

Indeed, injecting fake Wi-Fi id doesn't load the desired kext. Seems like a swap of module needed to make Yosemite AirDrop Mac to iOS and Handoff features work.

You can simply run the macOS installer to restore it...(just don't erase the target partition and it is a "refresh install").
