Hi,

Just a question to those who have a similar build to "Chip", have you guys updated to 10.8.2 without any issues?

Kind regards, Phil

Hi Phil,

I asked nealy the same question some days ago but got no answer. In my case (Mac-Mini Profile) I read somewhere else that it is safe to update BUT you have to re-run multibeast and install sound again after the update. Everything running smooth here again

Regards,
Stevil

Yes its safe to update , You have to roll back the audio drivers once restarted like Stevil says.

Thanks for the reply guys.

What I have noticed however since the update is, my Belkin F8T016 bluetooth dongle no longer picks up my Apple Magic Mouse?

Any of you guys experiencing the same issues?

Regards, Phil

Hey Hackintoshers,

I have almost the same configuration. The only change to BitterMelon's parts for my build, were very minor. Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212, Samsung 830 64GB SSD, and I used HD 4000 rather than using a graphics card. Both builds have the same core components, the GA-Z77N-WIFI and the i5 3570K, but if you want my full parts, click here. The only thing I'm not using is the Corsair H60. I am running 10.8.2!

My Hack is now sitting on my desk, and I'm using my MacBook Pro only because the hack has a few problems. First off, when I booted the first time off my SSD everything worked until the computer froze. It wouldn't shut off any other way, besides turning off the PSU. Now when I boot I must type -x at the boot screen for it to boot properly. Once I get into OS X, the audio is not working from the motherboard or the side panel. I ordered a USB Audio Interface, which should be getting here today. That will hopefully fix the issues for now.

What I would like to ask is if there are any "permanent" solutions, at least for 10.8.2, for my problems? I used the MultiBeast setting on Chip, except the graphics card stuff. I followed the suggested BIOS settings, so I don't know what to do. If someone could help me out that's be great!

Thanks,
Ian

Thought I'd show off my serendipitous custom case. Looked at it in a vintage store and said " I be a mini-itx mobo would fit in there. It does... barely. Gonna have to sort something out with ventilation which is pretty ghetto at present.

Still having issues with slower startup, caused by the following...

* ATHR: Unknown Locale: 60
* [AGPM] unknown platform

I'm running all defaults in my bios, which include 64M for Graphic Memory. If I set that to anything else, I get syncing issues. Is that right?

Anyone else having sleep issues? I have my build connected to a 27" ACD. Display will go dark, but machine will not go to sleep. If I manually put it to sleep, the display will not come back on. Thanks for any advice.

I got exactly the same issues with my sleep.......

Hi all,

I have the problem that strangely some videos do have some kind of green flickering bar in it.....I saw this problem the first time in a video taken with my iPhone 5, but now it also does appear in a youtube-video (see attached picture). The iPhone5-video played fine some time ago, but now there's something wrong with playback in quicktime....

When I play it with a different player (VLC for example) it shows no green bar, but has a 90° rotated orientation - so that's no alternative.
Could it be that switching from Mac Pro-Profile to Mac Mini-Profile is responsible for that? Do you guys have any clue?

Thanks and regards,
Stevil

Ditto. I'm running the GA-Z77N-WIFI i7-3770 on internal graphics. No way to wake once it sleeps..

I had the same problem on my ASRock Z77e ITX. Try this:

In chameleon.org.Boot.plist, add the following:

<key>device-properties</key>
<string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000005006201140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string>
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1920x1080x32</string> [adjust to your resolution obviously]

This fixed the garbled graphics for me. The chameleon Bootloader's EFI injection doesn't seem to work for my board, sounds like the same issue you have.

Hey, I am using the z77n and i5 3570k too. But using onboard hd400. how can i add this string into chameleon?
thanks.

Hy

Just add this :
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1920x1080x32</string> [adjust to your resolution].

If you want HDMI audio ,
Install Z77N DSDT.
