Still not working...
I can enable Handoff, but I don't have the dock icon.

You need to have everything setup correctly (iCloud, same appleid, etc.).

If handoff is shown in System Information, you're reading driver-wise, but have work to do on the configuration. Read Apple's documentation on the subject.

The dock icon only shows when you have started to compose an email/text on your phone, etc.

My phone is set up properly as it works with my iPad.
On the computer I have the same appleid, same iCloud account. Same everything.... I have also paired the two devices via bluetooth but I had no luck.

Keep in mind...

Something must not be setup correctly... Did you check that handoff is enabled in System Information->Bluetooth?

Also, maybe you need MLB/ROM setup as per iMessage fix guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/110471-how-fix-imessage.html
