Just for my information: What can be the problem in general, that the same Wifi/Bluetooth card is working on one laptop and not on another. Or is that campatibility issue or morke likely malefunctioning hardware, which I could return? (I have no other Laptop to test).

Depends on the details... (which OS, proper drivers installed or not, WiFi vs. BT not working [wifi and BT are completely separate], etc.)
