I have to say that putting the machine to sleep manually works perfectly. But auto-sleep is not working.

Yes, as follows:

ProArt Z670-Creator -- see Post 1 for build instructions and link to latest EFI
ROG Strix Z790-i Gaming WiFi -- see this post for instructions

These EFI folders should work with the Z790 chipset. The only issue is to determine which version of BIOS provides the best compatibility.

Does it help if you set Settings --> Energy Saver --> Wait for network access --> Disabled?

Never used that setting:

Basically I've not changed anything since my upgrade from Monterey, when everything was working properly.
