Hey everyone,
I grabbed Novabench after seeing some tests a few pages back and wasn't sure if these are peculiar results. Nova bench seemed low compared to geek?View attachment 412628View attachment 412629

Similarly, Novabench is showing a low CPU score for my system (compared with GB and CB):

Has anyone noticed their system work but the keyboard and mouse freezes? Have to do a hard reset.

Keyboard is a BT Apple keyboard
Mouse is a G703 (usb dongle)

It happened to me a lot in the past with Vega 64, now just once with VII. I think it's WEG related cause it never happened with Vega5KFixup.kext

Weird. I'm on the latest *cough* *cough* Mojave and that issue is more apparent now.

I thought it's USB related.

I've never had this issue at all.

Oooh boy, Intel CPUs do love good RAM.

Finally upgraded to 128GB Trident Z 3600MHz 8x16GB RGB (aka Christmas) sticks.

All stock, except XMP is enabled. The plan is to do a small bump in clock speeds for the CPU later, but very happy overall now.

This is definitely the last upgrade for this system. Better than what Apple has to offer, imo. Will take some nice pics of the case and all soon with a good camera when I get some free time :)

Really enjoyed building this and upgrading over time.

Just curious what was your previous score, before upgrading RAM?

Here you go, although in Catalina, it's same as Mojave...except the OpenGL score in CB15 is higher in Catalina for some reason.

FYI I was getting some random freezes and getting logged out at the XMP certified 3600MHz speed, so stepped it down to 3466MHz and so far so good. Will do a little more investigating over the weekend as to why this is happening. May be a bad stick (8x16GB)

Maybe increasing RAM voltage a little bit would help to stabilize. Like 1.42v

Usually GSKILL are certified with their XMP settings...going to call them up to see if they can help. But you're probably right.

Quick question, when I plug my iPad into my hack with a high speed USB-C cable, I get this error message:
Screen Shot 2019-06-26 at 10.04.51 AM.png

I've read that this problem is usually solved by resetting one's SMC (zapping the PRAM). However, I don't believe such an action works on hacks.

Could someone please enlighten me here?

Thanks!

P.S. Plugging in the iPad with the stock Apple provided USB-C cable works fine but I only get transfer speeds up to 480Mb/s.
