this is true for me afther HD sostitution with SSD
for the brightnessis a little dark at the start but go normal afther i put the monitor in stop... i think is possible to solve this problem in Clover config

see my screenshots

I just switched to RehabMan-Battery-2013-0407 (from one of your posts).
Before I was using AppleSmartBattery kext.

Comparing the battery life - looks the same.

Btw, I just noticed that somehow Sleep is not working anymore. Does anyone have latest SleepEnabler and AppleACPIPlatform?

Yeah, I've done it before, just not with uefi (well, not on a single drive at least). My 10v is triple boot. But the uefi part is what I'm mostly worried about I guess. If I get it working I will be try to post a guide.

true. the uefi implementation on the new asus series made me think twice if i should bother hackintoshing this laptop or just get a real mac. :) i still want to triple booth though and use linux/win8 native.

Hmm, strange. On my laptop I got only 2 hours, I will test it again anyway.
Which states your processor uses? all of them or 8 and 17 only?

Btw, thanks for USB3 kexts! I will test them today.

Still trying to find any solution with Brightness. Any luck?

2h is not normal.
I usually got around 3h and half.
For full battery, it would say around 4h usage: http://grab.by/nQNM

someone have experience with this Clover config parameter?
Code:
<key>SystemParameters</key>
	<dict>
		<key>BacklightLevel</key>
		<string>0x0501</string>

i think the correct value solve the problem of backlight.... the string "0x0501" is Clover default

I'm sure I can figure it out. It's just a question of whether or not it's worth the trouble. If I can find someone that's successfully booted linux with Windows 8 Then that would definitely make it easier to figure out. The other issue is that seeing as how I just spent a bunch of money on getting my car fixed, I don't know if I can afford a large enough SSD to triple boot right now. I sure as hell am not using this thing with a hard drive. Still haven't even bought one yet, lol... I'm determined to find one for less than $400

maybee is time to change title of this topic with "is it good!!!"
I agree. I think it's been established that it is good, according to one source: "On the eighth day God created the Asus Vivobook S200/X202E and He saw that it was good."
